Appliance Installation in Bridgeport, CT
The hardest part of a new appliance isn't picking the model, it's the install. A new refrigerator that isn't leveled will ice up; a new range that isn't gas-tested will leak; a built-in oven set 1/4" proud of the cabinet will read as a mistake every time you walk into the kitchen. We do the install properly.

Delivery day almost never includes real installation. The big-box crew drops the appliance in your kitchen, ticks a box, and leaves. LuxeFix Appliance Care does the actual install work in Bridgeport, hooking your appliance up properly, testing it, and leaving it working the way the manufacturer intended.
What we install, and what proper install includes
Refrigerators (freestanding and built-in retrofit), gas and electric ranges, wall ovens single and double, dishwashers, washer and dryer pairs (including gas dryers), microwaves and range hoods over the range, and cooktops with integrated downdraft ventilation.
- Water line for refrigerator ice maker and dispenser, no saddle valves, we run proper 1/4 turn shutoffs.
- Gas connections, flexible connector or hard-piped as appropriate, leak-tested at every joint.
- Level, plumb, and secure, ranges anti-tip bracketed per code, dishwashers strapped, washers on isolators.
- Test cycles, we run every appliance through a real cycle before we leave.
- Cleanup, packaging out, floor protected, no debris left in your home.
Built-in refrigerator retrofits
When a Sub-Zero or Thermador built-in unit is replaced, the retrofit into existing custom cabinetry is careful work. Alignment matters, the panel install matters, the ventilation clearances matter, and getting the water line and drain right the first time saves a callback. We do these installs regularly and we do them properly.
Gas appliance installation
Any gas install carries safety implications. We pressure-test the connection with an electronic leak detector, verify the correct manifold pressure with a manometer, and confirm complete combustion after light-off. This is not an area for shortcuts, and we do not take any.
Cost expectations
Straightforward same-form-factor installs (freestanding fridge, freestanding range, dishwasher replacement) run $160 to $320. Built-in retrofits and gas work run higher because they involve more time and more care. We quote flat before any work.
The pre-install site check
Before we install any major appliance we look at the actual site: the electrical circuit and receptacle, the gas connection and shutoff, the water line and drain, the ventilation clearances, and the level of the floor. That fifteen-minute check catches problems that would otherwise show up as an emergency call three months later, and we would rather discuss any issue in advance than surprise you with a change order.
Water line and ice maker install: no saddle valves
Saddle valves fail. They fail slowly, they leak invisibly, and they cause water damage before anyone notices. We run proper 1/4-turn ball valves and copper or braided stainless supply, teed off the cold water line at a proper T fitting. That is a small extra cost at install time and a large avoided cost later.
Gas connections and pressure verification
Every gas install involves a new listed flexible connector, a proper shutoff valve within reach of the appliance, and a manometer reading at the manifold to confirm regulated pressure. We leak-check every joint we disturb with an electronic detector and a soap bubble test. Gas work is not the place for shortcuts, and we do not take any.
Level, plumb, and secured
Ranges are leveled and anti-tip bracketed per code. Refrigerators are leveled front-to-back so the doors self-close and the ice maker sits level. Dishwashers are secured to the counter or the cabinet side per manufacturer specification. Washers are set on isolators or a proper pedestal, not on rocking feet. The small install-time work here is what separates a working appliance from a call-back a month later.
The test cycle and cleanup
We run every appliance we install through a real cycle before we leave: a full wash on a dishwasher, a hot dry on a dryer, a fill-and-drain on a washer, an ice-make cycle on a fridge. If anything is off we address it while we are there. Packaging and debris leave with us, the floor is protected the whole way, and the kitchen is cleaner when we leave than when we arrived.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you coordinate with appliance deliveries?
- Yes, give us your delivery window and we'll schedule the install around it. We can also accept delivery if you can't be home.
- What does a typical install include?
- Uncrating, leveling, water and gas hookups where applicable, electrical connection, anti-tip brackets, dishwasher tie-in to the disposal, and a full functional test.
- Can you install built-in refrigerators and wall ovens?
- Yes. Built-in installations from Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, and Viking are part of what we do. These require precise cabinet fit and we take the time to get it right.
- Do you remove and haul away the old appliance?
- We disconnect and move it to your curb or garage for removal. For a small fee we'll arrange haul-away as part of the visit.
